![]() If that company still exists, it may still be making the product. The company that made it was called Sun & Skin Care Research LLC. It seems to just be a brand name that was named after its marketing strategy. So far from what we can tell from our research, No-Ad was never a separate company. Did No-Ad Sunscreen Go Out of Business? Plus, they are selling it in the fan-favorite 16-ounce bottles many people loved. We find it on sale at different outlets including small boutiques and suntan specialists. The sunscreen has been re-introduced into the market recently. Reddit threads are discussing this stoppage. it seems that the company that owned this product and made it did stop producing it for a short time. No-Ad means no money spent on advertising and you reap the savings for this strategy. They did this by saving money on advertising costs. The No-Ad in the title refers to the fact that the manufacturing company wanted to sell its product at a cheaper price. This sunscreen is filled with standard sunscreen chemicals. Personally, I preferred the Elta MD spray when I was using it. I've seen other people around Reddit say the same thing about getting burned with Supergoop on. Multiple times I've gone to the beach I apply it religiously yet always end up with some color - sometimes even burns! For how much you're paying, you'd hope to have something a bit more consistent than that. The final strike for me, however, is that I'm not all too confident about its sun protection. Does not compare to the cheapness of No Ad that's for sure. It's also pretty expensive to get the large bottle. Personally, I don't like anything to have any sort of scent whatsoever but that could just be my preference. I like the texture! It spreads well, comes in bulk, and is easy to carry around. I'm in the US, but not opposed to products from other countries if there's a way to get them here. It'd be a nice bonus if it came in travel-sized bottles (100 mL or under), but it's not a dealbreaker.Doesn't feel weird or gross, and rubs in without much effort. Not a nice scent, not a faint scent - NO scent. And I know there's been a lot of drama going around regarding actual SPF vs advertised, so I really want something that is VERIFIED to have good protection. Minimum SPF 30, but the higher the better. ![]()
